Combined Search for Jira and Confluence Home

The combined search for Jira and Confluence plugins provide cross Jira/Confluence search functionality. The product consists of two companion plugins, one for Jira and one for Confluence:

Combined Search for Confluence: Search Confluence and Jira Content from Confluence

Combined Search for Jira: Search Confluence and Jira Content from Jira

Both plugins can also be used in isolation, but you will get the best unified search experience by using both plugins to provide a seamless unified search experience to the users.

Combined Search UI

Search Jira and Confluence content from Jira or Confluence through one search field. The search will show and refine the search results while you type your search term.

Navigate to the content by selecting the provided link in the search result list.

There is also an option to directly navigate to the advanced Jira and Confluence search by selecting the advance search link.

Combined Search Configuration

By selecting the configuration button in the app management view, you will be redirected to the plugin configuration page:

Enable/Disable Search Field

  • Disable Original Search Field: This option allows you to show or hide the original Jira search field.

  • Enable Combined Search Field: This option allows you to show or hide the combined search field.

With these two options you have the choice to either show both (original and combined) or just one of them. We recommend to disable the original search field since your header bar might get to crowded and user might be confused on which field to use.

Search Fields Features

  • Show Advanced Search for Jira in Search Field: This option allows you to show or hide the link to the advanced search view in Jira.

  • Show Advance Search for Confluence in Search Field: This option allows you to show or hide the link to the advanced search view in Confluence.
