Configuring Permissions

The Quantum::Estimator Plugin support fined grained permissions. Use the permissions configuration screen to configure the permission setting . Select the Add Permission action to add a new permission grant:

Supported Permission Types

Activate Estimation Permission

For newly created Jira tickets, the estimation is per default deactivation. The permission type grants access to the Activate Estimation action in the issue context menu.

Change Estimation Permission

This permission grants editing rights to the estimation, as e.g. adding estimation orders or setting the estimation due date.

Change Estimation State Permission

This permission grants the right to change the estimation state.

View Estimation Permission

This permission grands the right to view the estimation and the estimation results. Without this permission the estimation panel, the estimation summary panel and the actions in the context menu will be hidden.

Create Estimation Task Permission

This permission grands the right to create estimation task.

Delete all Estimate Permission

This permission grants the right to delete estimates from other estimator.

Supported Permission Grant Types

Grant types will grant permission (for a given permission type) to different roles or users.

Anyone

Give permission to any (event not logged in) user.

Any logged in user

Give permission to any logged in user is allowed to estimate.

Estimation creator

Give permission to the creator of the estimation.

Issue reporter

Give permission to the reporter if the Jira issue.

Project lead

Give permission to the project lead of the Jira project.

Issue assignee

Give permission to the current assignee of the Jira issue.
